Welcome Inn’s Senior Support Program serves to foster resilient seniors. Helping seniors to remain as independent as possible along with providing opportunities for friendship and healthy community form the major objectives of the program. Approximately 150 seniors participate in the program over the course of a year.

Tuesday Diners Club

Every Tuesday seniors gather at noon for a home-cooked meal. Following the meal is an hour of interactive programming. Recent program activities include, singing, active games, lots of laughing, excursions to local events, entertainment, learning opportunities and so much more! Transportation to and from Welcome Inn is provided for those who cannot access other ways of getting here. A suggested donation of $3.50 helps to cover the costs of the meal and program. Everyone is welcome!

Seniors Diners Club

Hot lunches will not be served during the summer. July and August will feature coffee and muffins in the garden as well as some special day trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Van Wagner’s Beach & Hutches for lunch, and a Grand River Boat Cruise. Community Visitation

Caring volunteers visit seniors one-on-one in their homes on a weekly basis. Time is spent listening, playing games, making crafts, going on outings, telling stories, and enjoying one another’s company. Individual interviews with both the senior and the volunteer are conducted before a match is made. How time is spent together is determined together once the match is made.
