Edna’s 100th Birthday Celebration

Please plan to join Edna Chadwick as she celebrates her 100th Birthday! Edna is a life-long North-Ender and will be hosting an open house on her birthday, Sunday, August 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Welcome Inn, 40 Wood Street East. Edna requests no birthday gifts; however she suggested in honour of her birthday, you may wish to make a donation to the Welcome Inn Community Centre in Edna’s name.

Welcome Inn Family Camp

Welcome Inn Family Camp is your chance to relax in the beautiful outdoors in sunny Sauble Beach. Plenty of good food, great friends to be made, games to be played, sand and surf for great summer fun is available for everyone! Join us Aug 31 – Sept 3. Summer Nights in the North End

Join us Fridays nights at Welcome Inn for some FREE family hot summer fun!

• Friday, July 23: Picnic and a Movie Night
• Friday, Aug 20: Picnic and live Music
• Friday, Sept 17: BBQ and Steel Drum Band.

Pack your own picnic and join us between 5:30 – 7pm, followed by entertainment outside. Bring your blanket, your lawn chairs, and your friends. In case of rain entertainment will move indoors.

Canada Day Celebrations at Bayfront Park

Our Food Pantry needs your help! Join us at Bayfront Park on July 1st for the City of Hamilton’s fireworks display where the City will be collecting donations to help support Welcome Inn’s Emergency Food Pantry. Summer is a difficult time for the Food Banks when donations drop, but we still have over 1000 men, women and children visiting us each month. You can make a difference with a food donation or a financial contribution to purchase perishable and non-perishable items. See you there!

Summer Day Camp

AVOID summer boredom this year – come to Day Camp! We are excited for this year’s day camp, and we hope you are too. The team at Welcome Inn Community Centre is gearing up for yet another fun-filled July. We can’t wait to begin!

• Week 1 July 5-9 Art Camp
• Week 2 July 12-16 Animals and Nature
• Week 3 July 19-23 Science & Technology
• Week 4 July 26-30 Cooking Camp

At the end of each week parents and people in the neighbourhood are invited to join us as we exhibit what we have learned – call Gladys for more information. Cost: $25 per week. Ages: 5-11 years of age Space is limited – come in to Welcome Inn and register now!
